The differences between the broadtail moor and the Far Eastern moor (black dragon eye) can be observed by comparing the pictures of British fish with the picture above of a moor photographed in Hong Kong (December 2000): the latter fish has superb eye development and deep black colouration, rounded pectoral and pelvic fins and the deeply forked tail characteristic of oriental twintails.

Unusual moors with fantail-style finnage. These fish have superb colour and eye development; they also have a very slight ryukin-style dorsal hump and could perhaps equaly well be called black demekins. (Photographed in December 2003).
